Scottish Rural Development Programme 2007-13
The Scottish Executive has recently outlined plans for a new Scottish Rural Development Programme, which can be viewed at http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Topics/Rural/RDR/Intro
The period for consultation on this new draft Rural Development Programme for Scotland has recently ended. The new Rural Development Programme proposes substantial changes from its predecessor, which ends this year. There are two particularly important changes proposed: in the first place there are substantial changes to the system of Land Management Contracts; and secondly EU funds through the LEADER programme are now to be administered through the Scottish Executive Environment and Rural Affairs Department (SEERAD).
As a community planning partnership, the Sutherland Partnership is able to offer comment on the consultation document - and we have done so. To read our response document, click here.
