Theme 4 Food and drink Sutherland has a fantastic natural larder producing first class beef, lamb, venison, salmon, sea fish and shellfish. The growing interest in the provenance, health and quality of food offers great potential for Sutherland's producers to capitalise on the attributes of food production in the county. A list of actions of the Development and Action Plan gives more details of the actions identified and those being carried out. Current projects North West Sutherland Foodlink have secured funding from the Community Project Development Scheme, administered by Sutherland Partnership, to hire a consultant to produce a business plan and investigate opportunities for expansion.
